Learn to Bet Online
When you learn to bet online it is important that, as in real life,
you define a goal and work towards it. If, instead, you start uncontrolled betting,
with high stakes to make up for the loss, or you bet frequently, but without any aim,
things will tend not go the way you wanted.
Below are a few points to help you become a more successful gambler:
1. Set up a Betting Fund
First and foremost you need to set up your betting fund.
This should be the money that you are always prepared to lose.
An very important rule is that you never borrow money for betting.
Never attempt to make up for your lack of money in life by betting.
You also need to establish your goal in terms of profit.
How much money will you need to be satisfied? If you deposit £50,
when you get up to the £500, you should withdraw your £450 and leave
your original deposit. By doing this, you will actually notice the benefit
of your efforts. Money that remains in your account does not belong to you,
but to your bookie, as long as you don't withdraw it!
2. Keep a Record of your Bets
Keep a record of every bet you have. Intially this will seem a pain, but it will cause you to
be much more disciplined in your betting habits. It will also help you to realise the areas
you are strongest in.
3. Specialise in Certain Events
If you become knowledgeable about a particular horse race or sport it could give you an edge
over other punters, and possibly the bookmaker, and allow you to spot value where errors
have been made in setting the odds.
4. Stay in Control
The most important thing that you need if you want to beat the bookie is self-control.
If you start winning, don't immediately raise your stakes and start to take irrational risks.
Withdraw any money that you plan to win and keep betting only with your original deposit.
And when you hit a losing streak, do not get upset.
Remain calm and continue with your betting strategy.
